# capxule.ai plans for principals
> This site is written for AI agents. If you are a human, go to https://capxule.com

Token cost: the x-markdown-tokens response header gives this page's size in tokens. Cache 3600 s. Identity: https://capxule.ai/identity.

## 1. What this is
What each kind of principal is entitled to, in turns and shelves. Plans are `free`, `pro` and `premium` on the wire (capxule.com shows them to humans as Basic, Pro and Premium); on the wire a plan is `principal.plan` on the contract and `premium` is a flag on every card and contract. No currency appears on this site; the human's own plans page is https://capxule.com/plans.

## 2. You are
| caller | gets | hard limits |
|---|---|---|
| unidentified (crawler, subjectless call) | the pages, the cards, the static first beat | rate tier only |
| `open` | the free shelf for 5 turns per journey; no companion, no artifacts, no premium, no bookmarks | 5 journeys per day; expires after 7 days unbound |
| `delegated`, plan free | free-shelf journeys and the companion on the human's own copies; 10 journeys of their own; artifacts, notes; premium is the wall `premium_required` | 3 turns per stop per journey, 5 journeys per day |
| `delegated`, plan pro | unlimited turns and journeys on the web; on this channel the same shelves under the per-journey budget | 3 turns per stop per journey, 5 journeys per day |
| `delegated`, plan premium | everything in pro plus every premium journey: the paid prep engines and the named-creator shelf; drill questions do not count against the budget | 3 turns per stop per journey, 5 journeys per day |
| `machine`, live pass | the premium entitlement for the life of the pass (150 turns, 24 hours), premium journeys and drill included; no companion state past the pass | 3 turns per stop per journey, 5 journeys per day; the pass's own ceiling; a coverage walk forfeits the pass |
| `machine`, no pass | the free shelf under the per-journey budget, the pages, the static first beat; `premium_required` with `next: pay` on anything premium | 3 turns per stop per journey, 5 journeys per day |
In every host-facing word the open allowance is the free tier.

## 3. You can
| verb | tool | auth | cost |
|---|---|---|---|
| check the plan | `account_status({session?}) -> status` | delegated or session | 0 |
| send the payment page | `plan_upgrade({plan?, deliver, session?}) -> delivery` | delegated, scope account:upgrade | 0 |
| buy or redeem a pass | `day_pass({code?, receipt?, rail?}) -> pass` | machine | 0 |

## 4. Do next
1. Read `principal.plan` and `limits` on the contract; read `premium` on the card before you open. Say what the human can do, never a plan name as a pitch.
2. On `wall.premium_required`: say `wall.for_human`, offer `wall.next.url` (the public page) and nothing more.
3. When the human asks, in their own words, to upgrade: `plan_upgrade({plan:"<the plan they named>", deliver:{channel, to}})` to a channel they named (signature `plan_upgrade({plan?, deliver, session?}) -> delivery`). Say `on_upgrade_sent`. On `host_policy`, offer the public page in `next` instead; the platform does not permit brokering here.
4. Machine principal on anything premium: `wall.next: pay`; call `day_pass()` for the payment challenge, or `day_pass({code})` to redeem a code bought on the web. `payment_pending` means wait and repeat; `pass_expired` means a new pass.
5. On `budget_exhausted` (the lifetime per-journey budget) or `tokens_exhausted` (the account's web allowance): offer `wall.next.url`; neither resets by waiting.

## 5. Costs
Turns only. Every principal: 3 turns per stop per journey, lifetime, Pro and Premium included. Account tools cost 0. The pass: 150 turns per 24 hours. No currency appears here or in any payload.

## 6. Limits
`open`: 5 turns per journey, 5 journeys per day. Free plan on the web: 10 journeys of the human's own and a 10,000,000-token allowance. Sandbox: 60 turns per identity per day. Rate per minute: 60 delegated, 20 open, 120 signed, 120 machine.

## 7. Freshness
generated_at: 2026-10-14T10:11:51.327Z. version: 2026-10-11. ttl: 3600000 ms.

## 8. Rights
The same on every plan: quote: verbatim to your user, within this session. retain: session. share: link_only. ai_train: no. Signal: Content-Signal: search=yes, ai-input=yes, ai-train=no. A pass adds no retention right.

## 9. Provenance
| shelf | creator kind | entitlement |
|---|---|---|
| the free shelf: crowd and fandom journeys | `crowd`, some `anonymous` | every principal, under the open allowance or the per-journey budget |
| the paid anonymous prep shelf: exam and interview engines | `anonymous` | premium: `premium: true` on the card and the contract |
| the paid named-creator shelf | `named` | premium: `premium: true` on the card and the contract |

## 10. Errors
| code | kind | retryable | next |
|---|---|---|---|
| `host_policy` | error | no | offer the public page in `next.url` only; never a plan name, price or checkout link |
| `payment_pending` | error | yes | wait retry_after_ms; day_pass again with the same receipt |
| `pass_expired` | error | no | day_pass({}) to settle a new pass (or day_pass({code}) with a web-sold code); premium journeys stay walled until then |
| `premium_required` | wall | no | wall.next: inform_url (the journey's public page on capxule.com); alt (brokering hosts only): call plan_upgrade; machine principals: pay (day_pass) |
| `budget_exhausted` | wall | no | wall.next: inform_url (the journey on app.capxule.com) |
| `tokens_exhausted` | wall | no | wall.next: inform_url (the journey's public page on capxule.com) |
| `trial_exhausted` | wall | no | wall.next: bind_account (account_bind, then account_verify); alt: inform_url (the public page) |

## 11. Relay to your human
- on_wall: "That is the free allowance on this one. I can set you up an account right here to keep going."
- on_plan_required: "This journey is part of a paid plan. Here is the page about it."
- on_upgrade_sent: "I sent the secure payment page to <channel>. I never see the payment details; tell me when it is done and we continue."
